    Thousands of mobile phones are being stolen by street robbers every month and young people are especially vulnerable.  By taking a few simple steps you can reduce your risk of becoming a victim of mobile phone theft.

    What you can do:

    By providing the police with some basic information about your phone, you can make it more difficult for a thief to use it.  A leaflet is available at all police stations

    I, Gillian Kelly, Returning Officer for the above election hereby declare that

    THOMAS DAVID RADCLIFFE has been elected to serve as a Commissioner for a period until 1st May 2012.

    The total number of votes given for each candidate at the above election was as follows:

    RADCLIFFE, Thomas David 173
    SKELLY, Laurence David 115
    WILLIAMS, Clare Louise 115

    The total number of votes cast were 404 (32.8% poll)
    There was 1 ballot paper rejected for ‘voting for more candidates than vacancies to be filled’.

    As there were only 4 candidates for the five seats we have to hold a further election for the remaining member.

    The new Election will be on Thursday 8th May.

    Nominations close on Thursday 10th April — to be received no later than 5pm by the Clerk.

    Nomination forms can be obtained from the Clerk at the office – phone 834501.
